This piece was inspired by this wonderful painting: [link] (J.W.Waterhouse)..

The barrette features a beautiful green shaded mother of pearl and a few Japanese delica beads.
I've used nickel free silver plated wire for the wire-wrapped part over black leather (no glue used). I've lightly oxidized and polished it to add a nice antique touch for the piece.

It measures 8 cm (about 3 inches) in width, so it's perfect for small ponytails.
