This barrette is the newest piece of my steampunk collection :)
The base is a viking knitted chain that i made of nickel free silver plated wire and hammered a bit. I've decorated it with black clockhands (the back side is white), wire wrapped parts (made of black nylon coated artistic wire), tiny black Japanese seed beads and awsome swarovski crystals in sand opal color.
The barrette measures 6,5 cm (2,5 inches) in width, which is perfect for small ponytails.

All of my steampunk pieces are one of a kind.

You just made me a steam punk fan. This is really awesome. Fantastic wire work and I love the clock hands. If my hair was still long, I would totally sport a piece like this.

I really like the colour of the main bead. It's very... gritty, but cheerful too.
The clock hands are cool too. Most of the time I just see gears with steampunk, but clock faces needs love!
