I like cameos so much, and since i have a mold i cannot stop making more and more of them :)

This piece features a handmade cameo (by me) made of sculpey, painted with fine acrylic paints (silver and black), and two layers of gloss varnish for protecting the paint.
I've added a nice victorian wire-wrapped desing using black artistic wire and a few matte grey seed beads.
The black artistic wire is nylon coated copper wire which will not harm is you keep it away from other metals.

The pendant measures 7,5 cm (3 inches) in length and comes on a matching silver-grey satin ribbon (63 cm=25 inches)with no clasp.

hope you'll like it :)

oh! this is such a...PIECE! I really like it!
It looks quite big, but actually, to the size of the hand, it isn't!
I love the cameo and the design of the wire part below the cameo!
Ah, and how fo you wrap the small wire around the other one (the one that goes inside to make the form)? Do you do it by hand?
And about the endings... when I want to cut the wire I use some pliers, but I don't like the fact that the cut part instead of being round is flat... and that annoys me because if you touch it, it's scratchy... How do you do it?

By the way, you have a beautiful gallery :D Keep up the good and original work! :w00t:

Thankee so much for your kind words!
for the wire ends you can use a fin rasp (what U use for your nails), and you need to have good quality pliers.

You did a good job with the antiqued look of the "silver" cameo on this one, and it honestly does look like the real metal :)

: D

Have you ever tried to make a miniature pendant? I know that you would have to use a really thin and soft gauge of wire and itty bitty size 15 seed beads, but your attention to detail, I'm sure, would bring you a few customers :)

Thankee for the great tip!

You're welcome

There are so many miniature enthusiasts out there, I'm sure they would gain buyers quickly once word gets around : D
